As a golfer, there’s no better way to experience Ireland’s sunny south-east than participating in The TasteWexford Golf Experience (previously known as The Gourmet Golf Classic). Stunning golf courses, beautiful scenery and top-class dining await.

#TasteWexford is the experiential side of Wexford’s food and drink offering.  Located in the cornerstone of Ireland’s Ancient East, Wexford has a rich culinary heritage and is known as the Model county for its exceptional farming and food culture, dating back thousands of years.

We invite you to experience Wexford on the fairways and through its delicious food and drink.

The luxurious Clayton Whites Hotel will be your base for the event, offering the warmest of hospitality in the heart of Wexford town. Each day you’ll tee off at a different golf course, all within a short driving distance of the hotel. This gorgeous part of Ireland has courses ranging from classic links to traditional parkland. Rosslare Golf Club, Bunclody Golf & Fishing Club and Wexford Golf Club will certainly test your skills.

Your dining experience throughout this trip will be in Taste Wexford style. The dishes will be prepared and cooked by local chefs who use raw ingredients sourced from Wexford’s diverse landscapes. From coastal and mountainous to meadows and forest, Wexford’s food producers supply the county and surrounds with undeniable quality produce resulting in an authentic, taste of place dining experience.

On the Monday & Tuesday evening you will dine in some of Wexford’s finest restaurants with a special four course Prize Presentation Dinner at Clayton Whites Hotel on your final night.

This is a ‘Team Event’ with a social twist… each team will consist of 4 players, male or female, in any combination. Each day your team will be split into pairs and then play in consecutive tee times opposite another pair from a different team. Every day your team pairings will rotate and you will play opposite different people. For those wishing to enter in couples or three balls, we will do our utmost to allocate you into teams.

Entry is in teams of four people, any combination, any age, with Daily & Overall Prizes on offer. All participants must be a member of a golf club and have an officially recognised handicap. The event is limited to 22 teams so make sure to book early!
